It’s best to tackle this in chunks, if I lined up 99 people and asked you to remember each one of their names, that seems like quite the challenge. Finally finished the book after three months of studying, reflecting and implementing the lessons shared in the book. The hadith mentions that the one who memorizes the 99 names of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ will enter Jannah. The Generous One, The Gracious, The One who is attributed with greatness of Power and Glory of status. The Eternal, The Independent, The Master who is relied upon in matters and reverted to in ones needs.

Abu Huraira (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) reported the Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: “There are ninety-nine names of Allah; he who commits them to memory would get into Paradise. His remembrance is possible for He has blessed us and elevated our souls to be among those who seek the life of Paradise. For every time we say one of these divine titles aloud or keep them in our hearts, a connection to Allah strengthens within us.What I loved about using crafts as a means to teach was that it provided many different levels of benefit.

The Constrictor, The Withholder, The One who constricts the sustenance by His wisdom and expands and widens it with His Generosity and Mercy. During the Ottoman Empire, the Sheikh Ahmad Ziyauddin al-Bursawi compiled a version of the names in his book titled ‘The Complete Book of Divine Names’. We can’t see Allah, but what we see in nature; including animals, plants and flowers – are all signs of Allah’s power. Sheikh Hasanain Makhluf wrote a book entitled ‘The Beautiful Names of Allah’, mentioning three views. Knowing Allah’s name helps believers better understand His Power and majesty and become closer to Him through prayer.Indeed Allah's names tell us something about ourselves; when we know that He is the Giver of Peace, for example, it means that we will necessarily go though periods of anxiety, and the antidote is to go to Him for calm.

Thus, one of the most beautiful aspects of the revelation of His names and attributes is that they form the basis of our relationship with Him.The 99 Names of Allah have been praised throughout history for their incredible power – one that should never be underestimated.
