About this deal

Edit2: upon further testing, when the remote mode is turned on, the camera doesn't get updated gps and UTC time data. Instead keeps on recording the last read data on new photos. This is a bug that needs fixing. But the Exit time stamps are correct. The Z8 and Z9 feature Nikon's older 10-pin round remote connection, which is used for both wired and wireless remotes: Matrix metering may not produce the desired results with filters with exposure factors (filter factors) over 1× (Y44, Y48, Y52, O56, R60, X0, X1, C-PL, ND2S, ND4, ND4S, ND8, ND8S, ND400, A2, A12, B2, B8, B12). We suggest that [ Center-weighted metering] be selected instead. See the filter documentation for details. If the camera is connected to a smartphone or computer, connection to those devices will be terminated. Ready the camera for pairing with an ML-L7 remote control. When the camera is ready, press the power button on the remote controller for over three seconds until the devices are paired. The remote controller’s status lamp will flash green approximately once every three seconds when pairing is complete.

Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.I'm not sure what I need for the Z6 ii to make this work so if someone is able to let me know or give some tips/recs, that would be appreciated. WR-R10 wireless transmitter (replaced by the WR-R11b)— Nikon's wireless remote system can trigger remote flashes, or be used with the WR-T10 to fire the camera remotely. The 4K 24 looks great from the Z7II and Z30 - I'm shooting in controlled studio lighting on tripods. But the idea of being able to shoot in 8K and crop in post is quite appealing for a project like this. The Z8 fits that bill. Seems trivial perhaps, but the convenience of these small BT remotes has spoiled me. MC-30A wired remote — Nikon's simple wired remote. Lower cost versions of this solution exist, such as the Vello RS-N1II. Wireless versions are also available. Also the Pixel Shutter remote. End an existing pairing connection between the camera and an ML-L7. Assign Fn1 Button/Assign Fn2 Button

The Z6 II and Z7 II also received firmware updates that support the ML-L7 wireless remote (see Z30/Z50/Zfc, below). I'm using ML-L7 remotes with my Z7II and Z30 for a two-camera documentary video shoot (two angles, talking heads on green screen). I'm a one man operation and it's so convenient to use these little BT remotes to start/stop recording from a distance and without having to touch the cameras. (I don't need to adjust settings between takes - just wanting to remotely start/stop the cameras at approx. the same time. I'm able to sync the two cameras in Davinci Resolve using waveforms.)It should work fine with the Z8 as well. I was arguing with a Nikon rep yesterday at Unique Photo why Z9 ( and now Z8) can't support ML-L7. I'm guessing no - we have to use the in-camera interval timer which isn't good for something like star trails since the interval inserts gaps in the trails - exactly what you don't want I am using Nikon's ML-3 receiver/transmitter on my Z9 which works fine but I would suggest this one from Vello ME-W1 Wireless Microphone: A wireless Bluetooth microphone. Use the ME-W1 for off-camera recording.

BS-1 Accessory Shoe Cover: A cover protecting the accessory shoe when no flash unit is attached. Body caps Miops Camera Trigger — Directly supports the 10-pin and MC-DC2 connector cameras, and has lightning, laser, and sound triggers, as well. More extensive capabilities, but more expensive. Establish a Bluetooth connection to an optional ML-L7 remote control. You can also choose the roles assigned to the Fn1 and Fn2 buttons on the remote. The Nikon ML-L7 remote controller is designed for proper use with digital cameras, specifically compatible with the Nikon COOLPIX P1000. It utilizes a Bluetooth interface for wireless connection, offering convenience and flexibility during use. The remote control features a press button input type, allowing users to easily control the camera's functions remotely. Bluetooth API would be nice of course, but just being able to get some electronics to "push the shutter button" on the existing controller would be really convenient. Do you own one of these and could you tell me if it looks easy to open? This Agreement is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Japan without regard to its conflicts of laws principles. I see people online have figured out the optical signals for the Creative Lighting System, another thing that would be fun to do with microcontrollers.

SmallRig Tripod Grip for ML-L7 — not actually a remote, but a place to put your remote in a small handgrip/tripod combination that works for selfie/video type work. The charging AC adapter can be used to power the camera; to do so, select [ Enable] for [ USB power delivery] in the setup menu. For more information, see “ USB power delivery” ( USB power delivery). Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements andoptically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect theimagery. Remember, too, that the SnapBridge application can act as a wireless remote trigger for the cameras. Now it shows the camera's view, and I can touch the image to move the focus box and refocus there, or change the PASM, the shutter, aperture, exp comp, white balance, and ISO. Good.
