About this deal

I am a woman who, in 1988 when I was 17, bought a bottle of the original Hugo Boss (back then, that's all it was, now I see there's like a hundred of Hugo Bosses). I like to have a change fromt eh usuals every now and then, so after Dior Sauvage, Paco Raban Million I thought I'd try Hugo Boss.

Home Cosmetics offers a huge range of fragrance and cosmetics and has over 25 years of combined experience within the industry. It is authentic and powerful, a timeless, classic scent that accentuates its strong character through a blend of aromatic spices, herbs with a masculine tobacco note. This EDT smells expensive and and in line with what you expect from the fragrance that put Hogo Boss in the perfume's map. If you should have one of them (and you should), i think you might go for this one, vintage version. It opens up with a bit strong soapy, fresh spicy, herbal, floral and spices notes in the background then dry down is semi sweet warm spicy, Balsamic, Tobacco and woody. By extension I'm utterly baffled by the many nighttime recommendations above, as this seems like the most generic, inoffensive, office-scent you could imagine.

This just sings on my skin with mellifluous honey and rich tobacco overlaid with twinkling aldehydes. Whether you want to treat yourself or give a gift to a special person, Boss Number One EDT will be a perfect choice. Gorgeous fragrance, slightly soapy and somewhat fresh at the top, mellows down to a LUSCIOUS honey/tobacco/patchuli combo!

I think that's why it is still a good value scent and without the reformulation it would have most likely been discontinued. I'm a fan of Hugo Boss and I have several of the other fragrances, but the smell off this was not what I was expecting at all. Paco Rabanne pour homme was my fathers signature scent and Number one gives me that same vibe of an adult being in the room. This is probably because when these came out, I was a late teen and this is what I fell in love with first. When I was a bit younger and I wanted to seem distinguished, I would spray this and feel accomplished.

This fragrance opens with a fresh and lively top note of lemon, basil, and grapefruit, providing an energetic and invigorating effect. although the patchouli is subdued in comparison, still earthy, just not nearly as prominent as the patchouli you'd find in GG. I think this is one of those fragrances that you will enjoy it yourself and not sure much about the others around you. Strong at first, oddly sweet for a man's fragrance, not particularly lasting and just a hint of something very slightly artificial about it.Boss Number One smells like a man with massive balls that's well dressed, intelligent, well-spoken, and has a waft of elegance.
