The skills learnt through chamber music are likely to form a core part of a career as a professional musician: professional orchestras are always on the lookout for musicians with good chamber music experience. It is grouped by regions, such as South West, Midlands and London, so you can easily compare firms across a geographic area to find the best talent for your needs, wherever it exists.

It has definitely opened up many doors for me and taught me so much more about law on a wider scale, I learnt countless new things that I wouldn’t have if I hadn’t attended and the best thing is the practice it gives you with debates and public speaking, which is essential for law! Our work experience programme is only open to those currently undertaking GCSEs and/or A-Levels or equivalent. For string players and pianists in BMus years 1-3, chamber music is assessed as part of the curriculum, whilst students from other departments regularly participate in collaborative chamber music projects.
