Sainsbury's in Courthouse Green, Coventry have nominated Bethany's Wish as their charity partner for 2014!

The Local Charity scheme provides awareness, support and fundraising opportunities for their selected local charity partner and over the past four years, our stores, depots and support centres have been partnering with local charities to make a positive difference to the community, children and families in need.

Supporting local charities is all about working together to make a difference. Therefore Sainsbury's are delighted to work with Bethany's Wish and plan fundraising activities and help raise awareness throughout 2014.

We at Bethany's Wish hope that this is the start of a positive and effective relationship! Thanks to all the staff and customers of Sainsbury's.

Sunday July 13, 2014

Bethany's Wish Summer Gala day took place at Stoke Green Park on the 12th July 2014. The sun was shining bright and the event was truly magical from start to finish.

We had performances from Pattisons Theatre Arts, Gemini Cheerleaders, Element dance, to name but a few, Godiva reptiles providing creepy critters to keep people on their toes, bouncy castles, ice cream and a fantastic bake off event.

We raised over £3,5000 on the day which will make a massive difference to our local support group for children and their families in Coventry and Warwickshire dealing with childhood cancer. We are continuously working to ensure that the services we provide really make a difference to these children and help to make them smile in the darkness.

A big thank you to Claire McEnery and the wonderful event planning team and also to all that donated time, equipment and their services to help the day be the success it was. See you all again next year!

Saturday June 7, 2014

The 16th of May witnessed professionals, parents and researchers from around the UK come together at our very first conference, CCC14. The day was a positive and productive event with kind support from the CCLG and sponsorship from ENCCA and also the Coventry Building Society. Parents and professionals came together and heard from world-class speakers concerning aspects of childhood cancer research and latest developments. We hope to be able to repeat and build upon this fantastic experience for next year and set the bar for a national strategy for parents of children with cancer, influencing and participating in research to find a cure for our children. Thank you to all that helped make it happen and here's to CCC15!
